NobaMaki Hints From Gege (SPOILER ALERT!)
Okay, I promised anon I'll talk about the hint and potentials for NobaMaki that I think Gege might intentionally give us because he can develop it if he decides to build NobaMaki become canon or semi-canon. Even though there are so many hints but I would only talk 5 important points.
- Nobara's type is Oda Nobunaga
In the official fanbook, Gege said Nobara's type is Oda Nobunaga. If you don't know him, he was the head of the powerful Oda clan. See the pattern?
Oda Nobunaga -> member of Oda clan (powerful clan) -> he was the chief of Oda clan
Zenin Maki -> member of Zenin clan (one of the big three sorcerers family) -> she wants to be the head of Zenin clan
Yuuji stated even though he still doesn't completely understand the Sorcerer World but he can tell Maki is really strong from the way she walks (or in other words, her charisma). We also see Maki normally takes the direction role for Tokyo students.
- Maki's type is someone stronger than her
This isn't just her type but also something she aspire to be, a strong person. But, Maki has internalized an unhealthy idea of what

I reflect we all realize the amount of flak queers ships receive with comments such as “they’re just friends” that aren’t used against het ships. All the m/f relationships (besides mechamiwa) is canonically platonic as essentially confirmed by the author. Yet people seem to dismiss this in favor of their het ships.
People are quick to pair Yuuji and Nobara (which we all know is simply because Nobara is a girl and Yuuji is a boy) and no one blinks an eye but If I were to head down to the YouTube comment sections and tell I ship Megumi and Yuuji, I would get slammed with responses telling me “their just friends, stop making everything gay” even though yuuji and nobara are just as platonic, probably even more so than Yuuji and Megumi.
You realize it’s funny seeing dudebros commonly produce jokes on how “Yaoi fangirls” ship male characters who even hate it each other and then try to tell me Gojohime (Gojo x Utahime) is canon. He’s maybe not that far on one end of the sp A very soft gay nobamaki concept that I would write a full fanfic for but the society is terrible and head only got so much juice: Maki, having enjoy full body scarring, sometimes gets phantom sensation all over her body. It doesn’t necessarily hurt, sometimes it does but not always, so sometimes she’s just engulfed in this weird ass tingly sensation as her body thinks nerves are where they aren’t and it’s a Time™. To help, Nobara just lays on superior of her cause while her skin can’t really recognize touch in a lot of places, it does recognize pressure. So on these days it’s just Nobara lay on Maki times.
