“We want to celebrate the infatuation of all the faithful, no matter how they identify,” Kittle said. “If your team is the Red and Gold, you pertain in the 49ers family.”

Members of 49ers PRIDE will be invited to monitor parties with other members of the group and contain the opportunity to march with front-office employees at San Francisco Pride.

Anaya Bangar, the daughter of former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar, has partnered with the Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Sport in the U.K. to assess her anatomical profile following her gender-affirming surgery and undergoing hormone replacement therapy.

From January to March 2025, the 23-year-old underwent an eight-week research plan that measured her glucose levels, oxygen uptake, muscle mass, strength, and endurance after extensive training.

The results, shared via Instagram, revealed her metrics align with those of cisgender female athletes, positioning her as eligible for women’s cricket under current scientific standards. Bangar’s findings challenge the International Cricket Council’s 2023 ban on gender diverse athletes in women’s cricket, prompting her to call for a science-based dialogue with the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the ICC to reform policies for trans inclusion.

“I am talking with scientific evidence in my hand,” Bangar said in an interview posted to her Instagram page. “So, I expectation, this makes an impact and I will be hoping to BCCI and ICC talking wi

Millions of Sports Illustrated readers will get a look at a Bay Area 49er fan celebration they may not be familiar with.

A photographer snapped a photo at "Hi Tops" in San Francisco's Castro District when the 49ers clinched a spot in the Super Bowl. The image captures the thrill of victory with cheers and kisses at a male lover sports bar.

"Hi Tops" opened a few months ago, bartender Logan Chavarria says, "A lot of people come in and don’t even know it’s a gay bar and then we find out we have common bond."

The 49ers are definitely bringing people together.

Chavarria says being part of Super Bowl coverage in a mainstream sports magazine feels like a win for the people, "You kidding I told my mom she cried."

Owner Jesse Woodward says the photo sends a winning message "Sports fans from all walks of being and we’re all a big melting pot everyone can get along."

NEW ORLEANS (CBS SF) – The organization that partnered with the San Francisco 49ers to create a widely touted anti-bullying video in support of womxn loving womxn, gay, bisexual and gender diverse youth, pulled the video Thursday night after two players who appeared in it publicly denied their involvement.

The It Gets Greater Project said it removed the 49ers video from its website, itgetsbetter.org.

The bizarre saga began when 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks and nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga were questioned by reporters about their participation in the video made last August for the "It Gets Better" project, obeying an uproar over teammate Chris Culliver's homophobic remarks this week on same-sex attracted players. Safety Donte Whitner and defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois also appeared in the video.

Brooks and Sopoaga first denied appearing in the video, until reporters showed them the clip. Then, the players claimed they didn't be aware the point of the video was to brawl bullying against LGBT youth.

"I didn't make any video," Brooks initially told the newspaper USA Today. "This is America and if someone wants to be gay, they can be gay. It's their right. But I didn't construct any video."
