The Palm Springs Food & Wine Festival (www.palmspringsfoodandwine.org is proud to welcome renowned chef Joe Sasto to the roster.  You may recognize Chef Joe Sasto from his win on The Food Network’s “Chopped”, and his time competing on NBC’s Top Chef and Top Chef All-Stars. He was recently recognized by The Food Network for their first ever “Hot List” of 2022.  Recently, Sasto has change into very popular via the social media landscape, with over 20-million “likes” and countless viral videos. Sasto is a reoccurring judge, host, and chef ego across Food Network, and an All-Star competitor for shows such as Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions, and Guy’s Grocery Games. Chef Joe has also developed a high-end customizable pasta and pizza tool line with well-known knife maker and blacksmith Doghouse Forge. Sasto recently launched a puffed pasta snack, entitled TANTOS, which is set to hit the market in 2023. Chef Sasto is also currently writing his first cookbook.

I have been a super fan of Top Chef ever since it premiered many years ago. Their fifteenth season, set in Colorado, was the only one that I didn’t catch at first when it was airing modern episodes on Bravo.

Luckily the hit culinary show, which earned yet another Emmy nomination earlier this year for Outstanding Reality Contest Series (it won support in 2010), was made available on streaming some time last month and I was able to catch up within a matter of days. It was here that I was sort of transfixed on one contestant, and it went beyond just how damn handsome he was.

Joseph Sasto (or Joe for short), caught my eye immediately as one to watch as the show progressed. Yes, he has a sexy mustache and sure his dishes are mouthwatering (he even referenced his “meat” in one episode) but there was a story behind both of those aspects that made me fond of and appreciate him that much more.

Top Chef is back for its 15thseason and the show is literally “reaching new heights” in Colorado. One of the most memorable chefs competing this season is Joe Sasto. He’s known for his talent of course (you can’t create it to Top Chef without talent) but he’s also known for his signature dark handlebar mustache. In the sneak peek video, one of the guest judges can’t aid but to comment on it.
